Kasthuri Palayakat, the parent company was founded by Mr. M. Rathinasabapathy Mudaliar in 1940 at Cuddalore for Mfr, Lungies, in a short span of 8 years this company extended its branches over Penang & Kuala lumpur to cater to the needs of Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand. Currently this company has a strong hold in Malaysia.
Apart from this the successor Mr. M.R. Palanisamy ventured into different fields.Movie theatre in Villupuram and Pondicherry under the name MURUGAA was established and providing advanced quality movie entertainment experience since 1977. Also establishing MURUGAA transport in the year 1983, which is then later renamed as MRP MOTORS Pvt Ltd.

The current Managing Director and owner of Sri MRP Group, R.P. Senthil Kumar joined hands with his father to carry on the family's business legacy. Under his able guidance the company's brand names "MRP BATIK & CAP SAUH" have been awarded ISO 9002 certifications by the Malaysian Government. He also expanded the venture into processing of centrifuge latex by forming MRP Agro chemicals in 2006 and establishing the factory processing unit as Hemsen Rubber Pvt Ltd in 2011 at Karnataka, India.
